Serve The Cause

CORRAL relies heavily on volunteers and donors to support the cause. However, CORRAL believes strongly that the cause- serving girls that are hurting- is vastly more important than the organization itself. CORRAL is not about horses. CORRAL is not about you. CORRAL is not about an organization. CORRAL is about loving girls who are in need of a leg-up in life.

Because of this belief, CORRAL subscribes to the idea of transformational giving. Unlike traditional fundraising, transformational giving believes that this cause is as much about changing your heart, the giver, as it is about changing the hearts of the girls in the program. We want people to use CORRAL as a vessel to serve the cause. In this way volunteers and donors, (ie: champions of the cause) can use CORRAL to identify those in need, serve them and thus experience the transformation that comes through service.

Because champions will not be giving to get, their hearts will be changed. Additionally, seeing their act of giving as it changes the lives of girls is far more powerful than receiving thanks from the organization. Give

Giving is a profound way to touch these girls' lives. Giving money or goods is truly a sacrifice and one that requires an open and generous heart. The cost for each girl in the program for one academic year is about $6,000. However, the program is free to participants. Because of this, these girls rely on the generosity of the community to support them on their journey.

There are several ways that you can give to the girls of CORRAL:

  • Donate securely online: click here to give on a monthly or ad hoc basis
  • Send a check: email us for more information
  • Giving in kind: CORRAL always accepts in-kind donations to fill a wide array of needs. These could be anything from school supplies to toiletries & office supplies; from saddles to hoof picks. Additionally, CORRAL is in constant growth mode. Therefore, we are always looking for companies and people to sponsor supplies for growth projects. For a list of upcoming farm projects and the supplies needed, please email Jenn.

Serve: Opportunities with the Girls

Being directly involved the lives of the CORRAL girls is a powerful thing and we have several opportunities. We need quality volunteers to serve in many capacities – download the PDF of our Current Volunteer Opportunities and fill out Step 1 of the Volunteer Application. Email volunteer@corralriding.org to sign up for our next Farm Tour and set up a time to drop off your application.

Pray

CORRAL believes strongly in the power of prayer. Please consider becoming a part of our regular prayer list. This prayer list will keep you abreast of any prayer needs that the participants or organization may have. The only requirements for serving the girls in this capacity are an email address and an open heart. Please click here to be added to the prayer list if you feel led to pray for these young women.
